My son too has severe ADHD as well as autism and I feel for you. We eventually had to resort to meds, but now we are weaning off and using herbs and essential oils for focus and hyperactivity. Have you looked into preservative free foods. I didn't think they would work for my son, but I am surprised that foods were making his symptoms very severe. He was so frustrated by foods with oxalates in them and wheat was a huge problem. Now we are on the Low Oxalate diet and the Gluten-free, Casein free diet and the changes after 3 mo are amazing...

Good Luck!!

It sounds like you are doing a wonderful job and that you are very caring.  I like the ideas that people have given you.  I just filled a play tent with ball pit balls so Eric can lay in there if he is frustrated.  He likes the texture- I think.  Best wishes to you!

Try not to be too hard on yourself...You have good ideas, and the suggestions above sound good too!

You love your children, take each day as it comes, do the best you can, pray, and remember to take care of you!

Blessings!
